Kosmos Energy Trains Construction Team On Safety

Today, Safe Water Network in collaboration with Kosmos Energy organized a safety training for our construction team, which consists of our operations staff and external contractors. The Head of Operation at Safe Water Network Ghana, Theophilus Dzimega, organizes the health and safety program for all contractors and the construction team.

The training, facilitated by Mr. Divine Tettey of Kosmos Energy in Accra, aimed to ensure safety standards and awareness to minimize risks and hazards associated with construction and daily work. It was also to protect and keep workers safe on the job. When Safe Water Network builds a new water Station, local community members are employed which promotes local ownership and knowledge of the system. We also use contractors to undertake specific aspects of site construction. Trainings like these ensure the construction team is able to take precautions for personal safety with tools and personal protective equipment to keep everyone on the site safe.

Mr. Divine Tettey instructed forty-five participants including the following Safe Water Network staff: Kofi Peprah, Eric Bartels, Mawuli Tsikata, Samuel Odame, Edward Appiah, Emmanuel Asante, and Isaac Bekoe.
