Safe Water Network Receives Third Consecutive Four-star Rating From Charity Navigator

Charity Navigator recently congratulated Safe Water Network on earning its third consecutive four-star rating. In a letter sent to Safe Water Network CEO Kurt Soderlund, Charity Navigator’s President and CEO Michael Thatcher wrote: “This is our highest possible rating and indicates that your organization adheres to sector best practices and executes its mission in a financially efficient way. Attaining a 4-star rating verifies that Safe Water Network exceeds industry standards and outperforms most charities in your area of work. Only 22% of the charities we evaluate have received at least 3 consecutive 4-star evaluations, indicating that Safe Water Network outperforms most other charities in America.”

Charity Navigator is considered the nation’s largest and most-utilized evaluator of charities. In its quest to help donors, Charity Navigator’s team of professional analysts has examined tens of thousands of non-profit financial documents, and has used this knowledge to develop an unbiased, objective, numbers-based rating system to assess more than 9,000 of America’s best-known and some lesser known, but worthy, charities.
