USAID Features Safe Water Network in Gender Report

The USAID/India report illustrates Safe Water Network’s gender initiative supporting women’s participation as plant operators, community mobilizers, and owners of 45 kiosks in the Medak District in Telangana. Findings describe how the urban poor are willing to pay for safe water, and men agree to collect water from kiosks if they are open 24-hours. The report undertakes a countrywide gender analysis to inform the USAID/India 2020-2025 Country Development Cooperation Strategy while enhancing gender integration in the mission’s program cycle.
