Catalyzing the Sector

We work closely with the Ministry of Jal Shakti and the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs to support the development of national water policy to extend piped networks throughout India. Safe Water Network also leads the SWE Alliance, a national multi-stakeholder platform, which promotes safe water enterprises as resilient, complementary solutions.

A Trusted Brand

Our brand in India, iJal, meaning ‘My Water,’ denotes quality, reliability, and affordability. Technologies such as remote monitoring and automatic dispensers ensure safe water enterprises meet consumer needs and expectations.

Water Aunties

We train and equip women, who previously collected unsafe water for their families, with the skills and resources to become iJal operators. Their role as safe water advocates transforms the health and wellbeing of their communities, generates livelihoods, and elevates their role in society.
