Steve Zide is the Chairman of Safe Water Network's Board of Directors. Zide has spent more than 20 years at Bain Capital, where he has been head of the Private Equity Group’s North American Industrial Sector, has run the New York office and has been actively involved in many of Bain Capital’s philanthropic activities. He has significant experience in acquiring and developing companies, completing numerous transactions in North America, Europe, Asia and Africa. Prior to Bain Capital, he was a partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Zide joined the Safe Water Network board in 2016 and is on the Program Committee. He has been a board member of numerous companies (public and private) and non-profit organizations.
Zide brings extensive strategic business experience to the challenges of communities owning and managing small water enterprises and is helping to sharpen Safe Water Network’s strategic approach to addressing the challenges of scaling small water enterprises in areas of extreme poverty. Drawing upon deep experience addressing a variety of business challenges, Zide’s acumen, insight, and pragmatic approach advances our planning and execution capabilities on the ground.
Zide has an MBA from Harvard Business School, a JD from Boston University School of Law, and a BA from the University of Rochester.
